NFL player Stefon Diggs caught on social media made boldly confess about Cardi B, claimed she’s an hardworking women after seen turned heads in New York City on Saturday, September 6, when she hit the street to sell her own music.
Days before the official release of her new album Am I The Drama? on September 19, the rapper set up a foothpath stall with vinyls, CDs, posters, and even incense sticks neatly spread out on a black cloth.
The Bronx-born star shared the moment with fans online, joking in her caption, “My label said I gotta get out in these streets and sell this album.”
The move sparked a wave of reactions as many praised her for taking it back to old-school mixtape culture, with one fan writing, “She’s hustling like it’s 2008 mixtape days. Respect the grind.”
Others, however, teased that the stunt showed worry over sales. For those who missed her on the streets, most versions of Am I The Drama? were also on sale through Cardi’s official store.
Furthermore, fans could choose from multiple cover designs and a special “Courtroom Edition,” a playful nod to her civil lawsuit in 2018.
The WAP hitmaker was accused of assault and battery at the time but was later cleared in court. This new album followed her Grammy-winning debut Invasion of Privacy in 2018.
Speaking to Billboard recently, Cardi reflected on how much changed in seven years, admitting fame taught her to toughen up and be smarter about her choices.
Cardi B also opening up about how her new relationship is reshaping her personal habits. In a recent Billboard cover story, the Bronx rapper spoke about her boyfriend, NFL player Stefon Diggs, and the inspiration she’s drawn from his discipline and work ethic.
“It was very tough, but it is what it is. It’s tough hiding. It’s tough dating in your 30s, too, but I like him. I love him, today,” she said of going public with Diggs. “I was always scared of dating people [because] I’ve always been in a long relationship since I was like 21.”
When asked how Diggs has influenced her, Cardi kept it real. “Personally, I’ll never complain about my job or about lack of sleep. I’m not super disciplined. I don’t really have a sleep schedule. I don’t ever like to map out my day. I don’t even like to schedule my month. It just overwhelms me. The one thing I’ve been learning is to be more organized and not complain,” she explained.
Watching his grind firsthand left her in awe. “He has to do two different things: learn his playbook and get physical. He has to be in bed at a certain time and wake up at a certain time. I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh. You’re literally in the military. You really work hard,’” the “I Like It” hitmaker said. “I work hard, but I can take a little break. I can lay back and I don’t have to be running, but it’s very inspirational to see how hard somebody works. It’s just like, ‘Wow. You should be proud of yourself.’”
Cardi B celebrates baby Blossom’s first birthday with all-pink party
Cardi B did not hold back when it came time to celebrate her youngest child’s milestone first birthday.
The rapper–who is a mother to daughter Kulture Kiari, 7, son Wave Set, 4, and daughter Blossom, 1, with ex Offset–took to Instagram on Saturday, September 7 to show off the extravagant party she threw for Blossom’s birthday. The festivities were actually a joint celebration for Blossom and her older brother Wave, both of whom were born in September.
Cardi posted multiple videos of the party to her Instagram Story, showing off the two separate themes for her children–including a pink paradise for Blossom and red and black decor for her only son.
Videos from the party show the New York native dancing around in a big dress and having children run up and hug her throughout the party. There was even a catering truck from Raising Cane’s on the premises, where guests were treated to chicken tenders to keep the night going.
Earlier this week, Cardi was asked how becoming a mother of three has shaped her over the years. During the interview for her Billboard covery story, she said that her kids “ground” her, even though motherhood can be a lot of work.
“It turned me into a real woman. I was like, ‘What makes a woman? Her body? Her cooking?’ It’s her maturity and her thinking,” Cardi told the outlet. “If I didn’t have kids, I wouldn’t sacrifice so much. This summer, I haven’t even put my feet in a pool. I do everything for my kids. I’m the only provider and you know what? Ain’t no complaining about it,” she continued. “I love them so much and they ground me.”
While the rapper admitted she can sometimes be “exhausted” from taking care of her kids, it’s all worth it in the end.
“If you think when you get rich you’re going to stop working, you’re never going to stop working. My mom used to be a freakin’ cashier and she used to work every single day,” Cardi said. “To this day, I still talk about how hard my mom worked. I had a very rough childhood, but my mom always made sure we ain’t go to no shelter.”
“I want my kids to be like, ‘My mom made sure I had everything that I wanted,'” she added.
