Rihanna Teases New Music While Beyonce’s Mom, Ms. Tina Knowles Reveals Huge Reaction to Daughter’s Big Win

Rihanna has spoken at length about her next album – a project that has been speculated about, pored over, theorized on and dreamt up for nearly a decade, ever since her eighth album “Anti” came out all the way back in 2016.

In a new interview with Harper’s Bazaar published on Saturday, the singer and fashion mogul addressed the near-feverish desire for more information on her new music, saying she “just cracked the code on what I really want to do for my next body of work. I am actually feeling really good about this.”

She also hedged slightly, adding, “I know I kept saying this over the years,” in reference to previous teases, including the (perhaps fan-fictionalized) possibility that her next record would be more reggae-leaning.

The “Work” singer said this weekend that idea is actually “way off!”

She also said that all the time she spent away from music means that her next project “has to count. It has to matter. I have to show them the worth in the wait. I cannot put up anything mediocre. After waiting eight years, you might as well just wait some more.”

And while she stopped short of providing a timeframe for when that wait might finally be over, Rihanna said that her new music “feels right. It feels like it digs right into where I need to be, and I want this. This body needs to come out, and I’m ready to go there.”

In spite of her absence from the spotlight with new music, the Grammy winner also said that she has, in fact, been in the studio all this time.

Of course, Rihanna hasn’t only been in the recording studio over the last eight years – she also joined the billionaires’ club thanks to her Fenty fashion and beauty empire, along with performing at the Super Bowl in 2023. Oh, and she’s also had two kids with her partner A$AP Rocky, whose felony assault trial she recently attended (he was found not guilty of all charges).

Now seems like the perfect time to pivot back to music, RiRi.

Beyonce’s mom Tina Knowles is speaking out about her daughter’s big win at the Grammys and how happy it made her.

Beyonce’s “Cowboy Carter” country album was named the best album of the year at the Grammys.

Tina Knowles told talk show host Jennifer Hudson in a preview clip posted to YouTube that she was proud of her daughter. However, she also revealed that she was surprised by the honor.

Tina Knowles told Hudson that she started “screaming” when Beyonce won because she was so happy. Tina Knowles also shed light on her granddaughter, Blue Ivy, 13, who accompanied Beyonce to the award show.

Tina Knowles Said She ‘Couldn’t Believe’ It When the Honor Was Announced, the Report Says

Tina Knowles told Hudson that she helped Beyonce and her daughter Blue get dressed for the big event. But she wasn’t expecting the major honor.

“I was just not expecting it, I was really, really shocked,” she said to Hudson.

“I was sitting there with my granddaughter Rumi and my grandson Sir and for a second, we were just sitting there,” Beyonce’s mom revealed to Hudson, indicating that at first the victory didn’t register with them.

“I couldn’t believe it because there’s been so many times that I thought that would happen and it didn’t,” she told Hudson.

Tina Knowles Also Shed Light on Blue Ivy’s Personality

Tina Knowles also gave Hudson some insight on Blue Ivy’s personality, saying she acts as “manager” to Beyonce and her dad Jay-Z.

“It was funny because then they show Blue…and Beyoncé is sitting like this,” Tina Knowles told Hudson, mirroring her daughter’s surprised appearance when the award was announced. “And Blue is saying ‘get up’ as she walked on the stage, so they call her the manager.”

“She’s a bossy little Capricorn like her grandma,” Knowles joked to Hudson.

Knowles also expressed pride in her other daughter, Solange, who was praised as a producer at the award show.

“I’m proud of Solange always. Solange is such an artist, you know, she’s really an artist,” Tina Knowles said. She also praised Kelly Rowland. “And I’m proud of Kelly too, I’ve got to bring it up because that’s my other baby,” she told Hudson, who told Tina Knowles that her “whole family is talented.”
