Offset Tax Debt Confirmed Hit Over $2 Million As Daddy’s of Six Seeks Spousal Support From Cardi B

Rapper Offset’s tax debt continues to grow with the rapper owing close to $2 million amid his divorce from Cardi B, In Touch can exclusively report.

On March 12, the Georgia Department of Revenue filed a state tax lien, obtained by In Touch, against Offset (real name: Kiari Cephus). The address listed on the lien is the estate in Sandy Springs, Georgia, that the Migos rapper, 33, and Cardi, 32, purchased in 2019.

The lien claims Offset failed to pay taxes owed for the year 2021.

The government said the musician initially owed $167,916.02 in taxes but the bill has grown to $294,712 due to interest ($53,000), penalties ($39,000) and other fees.

The state tax lien comes months after Offset was socked with a Federal Tax Lien. On April 23, 2024, the IRS accused the rapper of owing $1,572,266.73 in unpaid taxes for 2021.

The grand total for the state and federal tax lien comes to $1,866,978.73. Both liens remain active, and no releases have been filed by the government agencies.

As In Touch previously reported, Cardi, who wed Offset in September 2017, filed for divorce in August 2024.

According to TMZ, Cardi asked for primary custody of the three kids she shares with Offset.

Sources told TMZ there was no cheating but rather the two had grown apart.

“They’re just disconnected from each other,” an insider told the outlet.

The insider told TMZ the breakup was “amicable.” Cardi previously filed for divorce in 2020 but ended up dismissing it before it was finalized.

Sources close to Cardi told TMZ she had no intention of reconciling with Offset this time around.

Cardi seems to have already moved on with NFL star Stefon Diggs. The two were spotted out together at an NBA game earlier this month.

As In Touch first reported, Cardi is facing her own legal issues at the moment.

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper is headed to trial in the lawsuit brought by a female security guard named Emani Ellis.

Emani accuses Cardi of assaulting her at a Beverly Hills medical office in 2018. The security guard alleged she walked up to Cardi, which upset her, and led to the rapper striking her in the face, head and body.

Emani claimed Cardi used her long fingernails to cause her injuries.

Emani also claimed Cardi shouted “multiple profanities and racial slurs” at her.

Cardi scoffed at the allegations. She claimed she never touched Emani and argued any alleged actions were done in self-defense.

In addition, Offset is facing a separate lawsuit in Miami over an alleged beatdown over Cardi.

In October 2021, Offset was sued by Leamsy Izquierdo and Humberto Crespo over an incident that went down at a Florida strip club in early 2020.

Cardi and Offset were at the club when one guests sprayed champagne that got Cardi wet.

In video posted online, Offset appears to start throwing punches into the crowd. Leamsy and Humberto claimed they were assaulted by Offset on the night in question.

The two were awarded default judgments totaling $232,000. However, Offset recently filed court documents asking for the default judgment to be vacated.

He argued he the case should be dismissed due to him having no ties to Florida. The case is ongoing.
