Offset Shocked Cardi B As He Requests Joint Custody of All 3 Kids Between Both With Process of Divorce Reach Final Stage

Offset and Cardi B are making custody moves.

Amid the estranged couple’s ongoing divorce proceedings, the “Ric Flair Drip” rapper has requested joint legal custody of their kids Kulture, 6, Wave, 3, and a 5-month-old daughter whose name has not been shared publicly, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.

Despite the request, Offset (real name Kiari Cephus) did ask in the filing that his ex’s home be the kids’ primary residence, per the outlet.

Additionally, the ex-Migos member also asked that he and Cardi (real name Belcalis Almanzar) be responsible for their own legal fees, TMZ reported.

E! News has reached out to reps for Offset and Cardi B for comment but has not heard back.

The pair, who wed in 2017, have faced several ups and downs since Cardi filed for divorce in July. Just days after the “I Like It” rapper declared that she and Offset—who is also dad to three older children from previous relationships—were in a “peaceful” place and “really healthy co-parenting” in December, he seemingly criticized her in a since-deleted post on X (formerly Twitter).

“Stop capping to these ppl to make yourself look like the hoe it ain’t the look,” he wrote in the post. “u a fire women good music but u focus on d–k and tryna make me look bad.”

Cardi appeared to offer a vague response on X at the time, urging Offset to “F–k off and sign the papers” in their split—but she didn’t stop there, laying out new accusations against her ex and his mother Latabia Woodward in January.

“I ain’t listen after you and your momma robbed me,” Cardi claimed during a Jan. 14 conversation on X Spaces. “Yeah, you and your mom robbed me cold. Wiped my nose. Told you stop f–king playing with me.”

While the Love and Hip Hop alum didn’t say what exactly she felt she had been robbed of, she went on to allege that Offset was using their kids as an excuse to delay finalizing their divorce.

“You wanna talk about, you haven’t accepted the divorce because you not gonna agree on my terms ’cause you just wanna see the kids,” she continued. “You wanna see the kids? You just called your daughter for the first time this year, yesterday. Your newborn. You love your kids so much and you didn’t bought them s–t for Christmas.”
