As per reports, the New England Patriots’ star player is now scheduled to be arraigned in Dedham District Court on Feb. 13.
This was previously scheduled for 23rd January but now the date has been shifted to five days after the Super Bowl.
This has sparked chaos as many fans feel Stefon Diggs is being given special treatment because of his celebrity status.
However, neither Stefon Diggs nor his former private has issued any statements about this yet.
What happened between Stefon Diggs and his former private chef?
For the unversed, Stefon Diggs is currently facing charges of felony strangulation or suffocation and misdemeanor assault and battery stemming from an alleged incident that happened on Dec. 2.As per the police report filed by Stefon Diggs’ former private chef, she has accused him of not paying her dues and attacking her when she asked for her payment.
However, Stefon Diggs’ legal team has strongly denied such allegations.
Stefon Diggs’ legal team issued a strong statement that read as, “Stefon Diggs categorically denies these allegations. They are unsubstantiated, uncorroborated, and were never investigated — because they did not occur.”
The statement added, “The timing and motivation for making the allegations is crystal clear: they are the direct result of an employee-employer financial dispute that was not resolved to the employee’s satisfaction.
Stefon looks forward to establishing the truth in a court of law.”
Stefon Diggs’ team, the New England Patriots, has also stood by him and has spoken about supporting the star player amid a pretty strong season.
Stefon Diggs’ girlfriend, Cardi B, has also accused the former private chef of lying and making up stories as she continues to stand by him.
