Cardi B Break Social Media Silence With Emotionally Shock Reaction To Share Her Grief After Deadly Nightclub Collapse in Dominican Republic

Many well-known celebrities have spoken out after a heartbreaking tragedy in the ‘Dominican Republic’, where the roof of a popular nightclub suddenly collapsed, killing at least 124 people and injuring many others.

The collapse happened at Jet Set nightclub in Santo Domingo on Tuesday, during a live merengue concert. This incident has shaken the nation, and now stars with personal ties to the Dominican Republic are expressing their sadness and support.

Cardi B, who has Dominican roots through her father, shared a tribute on her Instagram Story. She posted a picture of the Dominican Republic with a black ribbon over it, a symbol of mourning. Though she didn’t write a caption, the image spoke volumes to her millions of followers.

Zoe Saldaña, the well-known actress who also has Dominican heritage, showed her support by reposting a heartfelt message originally shared by Cinestar Pictures, a film company. The message said, “Today, our hearts break over the tragic roof collapse at Jetset nightclub in the Dominican Republic. Sending love and strength to the victims, their families, and all those affected. In times of loss, may we come together in solidarity and compassion.”

Saldaña, who recently won an Oscar for her role in Emilia Pérez, has often spoken about her deep connection to her Dominican background. In fact, during her Academy Award acceptance speech in March, she proudly spoke about her roots, making this tragedy even more personal for her.

Other celebrities also shared messages of support. Dominican-American singer Prince Royce used his Instagram Stories to say, “My prayers for everyone affected by this big tragedy that happened at the nightclub in Santo Domingo. Peace and strength.” His message echoed the pain felt by many in the Dominican and Latin music communities.

Legendary musician Emilio Estefan, a 19-time Grammy winner, also posted a moving tribute on social media. Speaking on behalf of his family, he wrote, “All united with the Dominican Republic in this moment of sorrow. We share the sadness of a great country that we love so much. Our prayers are with all the affected families.” He signed the note with love from himself, his wife Gloria Estefan, and the entire Estefan family.

As rescue teams continue to work at the site, recovering victims and providing support to survivors, the outpouring of support from the entertainment world has brought attention to the tragedy. While nothing can undo the pain of such a devastating loss, these public messages serve as a reminder that in moments of grief, solidarity can help bring people together.
